This project was designed with an obsession towards stealth. We’ve taken the pervasive molding of the prewar period as its starting point, adopting the aesthetic of the original prewar home completely. The one freedom we allowed ourselves was in the means.

Where the original is decorated with added molding (left), our intervention is designed with carved moldings (right). The optical effect is identical, but the means are opposite.
